Homemade Vegan Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 12oz. can tomato paste
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Sriracha
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, mix together all of the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight glass container.
Notes
2 tablespoons is a lot for liquid smoke - adjusting this to less will change the rest of the proportions
