Smoked BBQ Ribs V1

Instructions

Night Before

  • Place ribs (cut in half) in crock pot.
  • Add 2-3 cans of beer
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • handful of bay leaves
  • salt, pepper, cumin, onion and garlic powder, chili powder, paprika
  • healthy dose of Frank's
  • 1/2 tsp Insanity sauce
  • water until ribs are covered
  • 11pm put crock pot on 'warm'
  • 1am put crock pot on 'low'
  • 8am turn crock pot to 'warm'
  • 12pm put crock pot on 'low'
  • 1pm put crock pot on 'high'
    Smoke
  • Smoke at 2pm
  • Baste in own juices; 1/2 stock, 1/2 vinegar
  • 3:30pm remove all juices
  • smoke dry
  • 4:30pm start saucing
  • 5:30pm remove from heat and rest for 30 minutes
